The game loop

How YIELD flows through the valley.

Every part of Sol Valley feeds one loop:

  1. Spend YIELD on seed packs. Most of the price is burned, 0.5% flows to Sol Well stakers, and 1% goes to your sponsor if you have one.
  2. Plant and grow. Each seed carries a share of its pack's price. Its rarity decides the growth time and the payout multiplier.
  3. Harvest. You receive unlocked YIELD, extra Locked YIELD, Produce, Farmer XP, and sometimes Sol Essence.
  4. Improve your odds. Valley upgrades, wisps, fertilizer and the full moon all raise your payout. The Oracle turns Locked YIELD into spendable YIELD.

Why it balances

At a level-0 valley with no bonuses, the expected return from a seed pack is 0.956×. Most packs come back a little short; the occasional Epic or Legendary pull comes back far ahead. The shortfall is burned, which shrinks supply over time. Upgrades and consumables move the average above 1×, so progress is rewarded and idle luck isn't.
